The Government Annual Officers Association of the United States and Canada (the “GFOA”) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Elyria for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for 33 consecutive years (FY 1986 – 2018) and then again for the fiscal years ending December 31, 2020 and December 31, 2021. We believe our current report continues to conform to the Certificate of Achievement Program requirements and we are submitting it to the GFOA. The Certificate of Achievement is a prestigious national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government financial reports.
