As the snow season approaches, the Streets Department wants to ensure residents understand the existing snow removal, salting, and de-icing practices:
- All main roads, state routes, hills, brides, and established school bus routes are completed 1st;
- Secondary streets are plowed only when snow exceeds 4 inches within a 24 hour period;
- Main roads, state routes, hills, and curves are salted, with additional areas and secondary streets being salted as supplies and conditions warrant.
