Notice of Public Hearing
Substantial Amendment to the CDBG Consolidated Annual Action Plan
CDBG PY 2022
A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., at Elyria City Hall, 3rd floor conference room, 131 Court St., Elyria, OH 44035, to obtain the views of citizens concerning approval of a substantial amendment to the City of Elyria’s Community Development Block Grant Program Consolidated Annual Action Plan.
The proposed amendment will be available for public viewing at the City of Elyria Community Development Office, Suite 302, Elyria, OH 44035 or an electronic version will be available at www.cityofelyria.org.
The proposed change is to correct a clerical error that needs fixed in order to accurately report on the benefit of CDBG PY 2022 funds. The National Objective was input into the IDIS system as “LMC” National Objective and the National Objective should have read “LMA”.
Activity Name: Public Facility South Park Multipurpose Field
Activity Type: 03F
National Objective: LMA (LOW/MOD Area Benefit)
Budget: $115,989
Activity Description: The multi-use field may be used for a variety of programs including football, soccer, lacrosse, or green space. The park improvements will serve predominantly persons that reside on the South Side of Elyria, Census Tracts 709.01, 709.02, 710, 713 and 714. The total project budget is $115,000.
Please be notified that you are invited to attend the public hearing to present your comments to the proposed change. If you are unable to attend, you may send your comments in writing to the City of Elyria, Office of Community Development, Suite 302, Elyria, OH 44035 or emailed to malmobayyed@cityofelyria.org. All comments must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. March 19, 2025.
