Due to high temperatures and humidity, the City of Elyria is opening cooling stations at South Rec Center and East Rec Center. Both cooling stations are scheduled to be open from 1-8:00 pm, Monday through Wednesday (June 16-19).
South Rec: 101 South Park Drive
East Rec: 1101 Prospect Street
Cooling Centers are meant to help residents stay cool during potentially dangerous hot weather. If you know anyone who needs shelter from the heat, please relay this information.
The City of Elyria will monitor weather conditions and additional hours/days will be added as needed.
