The Office of the Mayor and Elyria Bicycle Center are hosting the 2nd Build-A-Bike Saturday, a volunteer opportunity for people to safely come together and work on the donated bikes to get them ready for distribution to those in need as well as traditional sales to support parts and repair costs.
WHEN: Saturday, July 25th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
WHERE: West Park Garage, 1200 Foster Ave, Elyria OH 44035
WHAT: Refurbishing and repairing used bicycles so that they can be distributed to Elyrians. No training or prior experience necessary.
Since the first Build-A-Bike event, 30 bikes have been repaired and distributed to Elyria residents. Bicycles may also be purchased at discounted rates from the Elyria Bicycle Education Center, located 408 Middle Avenue.
