The City of Elyria and the Council of Veterans will host the Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade on Monday, May 26th. This annual event pays tribute to the brave individuals who have selflessly sacrificed their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The application deadline is Wednesday, May 7th at 12:00 p.m. The Office of the Mayor and Safety Service Director will review all applications weekly. If your application or organization is approved, you will be notified by a member of our team. At that point, you will receive final details regarding arrival time, staging location, and your designated division. It’s important to note that completing the application does not guarantee participation in the parade. Absolutely no campaigning is allowed, although elected officials are welcome to take part without engaging in active campaigning.

Ely Square Ceremony: From 9:00AM – 9:30AM
Parade: Begins at 10:00AM
Parade line up: From 8:15AM to 8:45AM, and from 9:30AM to 9:50AM

● Begins at Court Street and Broad Street
● East on Broad Street to Washington Avenue
● North on Washington Avenue to Harrison Street
● East on Harrison to Glenwood Street
● Ends at Harrison & Glenwood

Elyria 2025 Memorial Day Parade Application
Thank you for expressing your interest in participating in the 2025 Elyria Memorial Day Parade! We are thrilled to come together with you to commemorate the primary purpose of the day: honoring and remembering our fallen soldiers. Please provide comprehensive answers to the questions below.
